About the Luptons,
Andrew and Laura Kate met while attending Campbell University and married in 2005. Andrew received his MBA in 2008, and his M.Div. from Covenant Seminary in 2011. Laura Kate has a B.A. in piano pedagogy, and taught private music lessons and elementary music for 10 years. Together Andrew and Laura Kate directed the summer youth programs at Ridge Haven, the conference and retreat center of the PCA in Brevard, N.C., from 2007-2010. While there, the Lord put ministry to the next generation on their hearts, particularly the children of missionaries, often referred to as Third Culture Kids (TCKs).
In 2011, the Lord called the Luptons to Bogotá, Colombia, to serve as a resource for MTW’s Latin American missionary families, as part of MTW’s Global Youth and Family Ministries. They will also partner with the church-planting team in Bogotá in university and music education ministry. They long to see missionary families, and the church plants in which they labor, strengthened and encouraged as the gospel transforms the nations and the next generation.
